Aeriosa Tree Dance Community Workshop for ages 7 and up. | May 2025

Come join Aeriosa’s team of tree dance artists and riggers and let us guide you on an unforgettable journey into the forest canopy. Take a rare chance to learn how to do a unique interspecies dance with big trees. Aeriosa instructors will introduce you to rope and harness safety systems while you learn fun, tree dance movement skills, in a supportive environment.

Vertical Dance Choreographic Creation Lab with Aeriosa | May - June 2025

Join Aeriosa Dance Artists for a progressive series using rope and harness systems to inspire your creativity while developing choreography on the ground and in the air. This choreographic lab will utilize the knowledge from the introductory course and focus on play, improvisation, collaboration, exploring movement quality, and creating choreography. We will take our warm up to the next level by learning a flowing warm up sequence on the ropes. Bring your curiosity for dance-making and expressive movement into the room while exploring solos, duets and trios in the harness at different heights.

The Little Prince | April 2025 | Toronto

Join us on a journey through the stars with The Little Prince, brought to life through the dynamic fusion of physical theatre, Visual Vernacular (VV), American Sign Language (ASL), breathtaking vertical dance, and immersive projection design. This reimagined adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s timeless tale transcends spoken language, weaving a visually stunning narrative that speaks directly to the heart. Led by visionary Deaf artist and storyteller Landon Krentz, this performance invites audiences into a world where communication transcends words, and every gesture tells a story. Follow the little prince as he ventures across whimsical planets, meeting inhabitants and uncovering profound lessons about love, belonging, and the human spirit.

New Artists and Approaches in Vertical Dance | May 18, 2023

Aeriosa’s first opportunity to invite Deaf, Hard of Hearing and hearing people to come together and be our audience. This show shares new and revised works by company members, Deaf Theatre Artist Landon Krentz, and Butterflies In Spirit. Butterflies in Spirit is an Indigenous Dance Group that performs hip hop, contemporary and First Nations dances to raise awareness of their lost loved ones who are Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirits Landon Krentz is a bilaterally profoundly Deaf ASL performer for theatre. In this performance, Landon weaves Deaf cultural perspectives, visual storytelling skills and the visual vernacular theatre techniques of Bernard Bragg throughout the works.

Aeriosa’s Home/Domicile is choreographed by Julia Taffe | A collaboration with visual artists Sarah E Fuller and Stuart Ward.
